Abhiir Bhalla is a dynamic environmentalist, recognized by the BBC as one of the Top Youth Environmentalists globally. With over 11 years of dedicated work in climate advocacy and sustainability, he has emerged as a powerful voice for youth-led environmental action in India and on the international stage.
A graduate of Ashoka University, Abhiir currently works with a consulting and accounting firm where he supports public policy, sustainability strategy, and social impact projects. Beyond his professional role, he is an independent sustainability consultant and a tireless policy advocate who has led over 250 workshops and speaking engagements, influencing policy discourse and public engagement on climate issues.
Abhiir is the founder of Swachh Chetna, a youth-driven initiative that promotes environmental awareness and grassroots action. His campaigns—ranging from cleanliness and plantation drives to intersectional climate justice movements—have mobilized over 500 volunteers and gained significant media attention both nationally and internationally.
He has represented youth voices at major global forums including COP28, COP27, and CHOGM 2022, and serves as a Youth Advisor to the Governing Board of CHEC International. He is also a My Future My Voice Ambassador for Earth Day International and a board member of the Commonwealth Human Ecology Council.
A three-time TEDx speaker, Abhiir continues to inspire action through his thought leadership, grassroots mobilization, and commitment to building a just, sustainable future for all.
