Right to Education

Abstract: The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act enacted by parliament in August, 2009 came into force on 1 April 2010. The Act promises 10 broad objectives including free and compulsory education to all children in the 6-14 age group. This means millions of children will now get education at least up to class 8.
